Former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Jim Sorgi and former St. Louis Cardinals right fielder Joey Vandever developed an app that provides access to mental health services.

Since 2018 the duo has offered physical therapy services to public safety personnel and have recently released the new program called SHIELD.

SHIELD is a confidential and HIPAA-compliant app and website that allows users to self-evaluate for depression, anxiety, PTSD, stress, and other issues using questionnaires, WISHTV.com reported.

Several public safety agencies in Indiana are currently using the service including the Indianapolis Fire Department and Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
