A Centerville firefighter who was seriously injured when he was struck by a tractor-trailer last week returned home
Colton Adams and Clint Franklin were working a minor collision on Interstate 45 when an 18-wheeler struck the vehicles, rolled over and struck them. A driver from the first accident was also killed in the crash.
Adams, 21, was taken to the hospital in Temple where he lost part of his leg, according to KLTV.com.
Franklin, 46, was treated and released following the crash.
“The volunteer fire department is pretty special in how concerned people are for them. During fire season, wrecks on the freeway so they put their lives in danger a lot, so to have this kind of tragedy hit them it affected a lot of people,” area resident Alleen Daniele told KLTV.
