A Montgomery firefighter/paramedic suffered life-threatening injuries when he was struck by a vehicle while assisting a patient.
Lt. J.W. McMicken was treating an injured pedestrian from a different wreck when he was hit Sunday night, WSFA reported.
The driver who struck McMicken was taken into custody.
The original patient, a woman, also was transported to the hospital for treatment.
