Charges are pending against a man after he allegedly broke into a Charleston fire station and tried to hide after paramedics had responded to a call to help him and he ran away.

It happened early Wednesday morning at the fire station in the Orchard Manor community, just one day after a Charleston ambulance was hit by a bullet on the city's West Side.
