Getac Launches G140 Copilot+ PC Rugged Tablet
The new G140 tablet, a fully rugged Copilot+ PC1, was unveiled by Getac Technology Corporation (Getac).
The G140, which is powered by AMD Ryzen technology, is intended for professionals who operate in fields like manufacturing, automotive, and public safety and need field-ready devices that can run demanding edge AI applications in a variety of operational situations.
IT decision-makers are placing a higher priority on platform consistency and seamless interoperability with their current infrastructure as businesses speed up their digital transformation plans. Getac has added AMD-powered rugged solutions to its lineup in response to the increasing need for architectural continuity. This includes the recently released S510AD Copilot+ PC and the G140 Copilot+ PC. For clients with particular integration needs, these features offer more deployment options while maintaining the coherence and effectiveness of their IT environments.
The G140 is designed to be as productive as possible in the field. With its AMD Ryzen AI 5 340/7 350 CPU, AMD Radeon 840M/860M GPU, and AMD XDNATM 2 NPU (up to 50 TOPS), it provides smooth AI-powered processing performance and excellent visuals right at the workplace. With its remarkable battery endurance and efficiency-focused design, its cutting-edge AMD architecture allows for extended energy changes between charges without sacrificing performance.
Additionally, the G140 is quite good at multitasking and can respond quickly to demanding field applications. Additionally, experts can see intricate schematics and high-resolution maps with remarkable clarity because to its integrated graphics capabilities, which do away with the need for a separate GPU. Users may stay connected even in remote areas thanks to a variety of connection choices, such as Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, 4G LTE (optional), 5G Sub-6 (optional) and dual-SIM (optional). Two USB 4 ports are standard and enable high-speed data transfer, high-resolution video output and power delivery.
The G140's main component is a 14-inch LumiBond display with 1,000 nits of brightness and a sunlight-readable display that provides outstanding usability when working outside in variable weather. Getac's Smart Touch auto-sensing technology, which automatically adjusts to inputs from a finger, stylus, or glove without the need for manual mode switching, significantly improves usability. Additionally, a redesigned dual-speaker design makes it ideal for noisy surroundings.
Additionally, the G140 has Getac's hot-swappable battery technology and can run on high-capacity batteries (optional) for extended periods of continuous operation. Sensitive data is always protected by a number of security technologies, such as TPM 2.0, Windows Hello face-authentication camera, AMD PRO (optional), HF RFID reader (optional), fingerprint reader (optional),and smart card reader (optional).
Increased mobility in the field is made possible by a variety of carrying and mounting choices. A hard handle, a rotating hand strap, a magnetic mount, and a kickstand are among them; the latter three are made feasible by an integrated VESA mount that is a component of the G140 chassis. The G140 can be easily carried and/or mounted onto adjacent surfaces for hands-free use thanks to these possibilities. Havis and Gamber-Johnson vehicle docks provide safe in-car operation and charging.
The G140, like all Getac devices, is designed to perform well in situations where other equipment or devices might not. High levels of dependability in demanding industrial settings are ensured by MIL-STD-810H and IP66 certifications, 4 feet (1.2 meters) of drop resistance, and an operating temperature range of -29 degrees Celsius to 63 degrees Celsius (-20 degrees Fahrenheit to 145 degrees Fahrenheit), which helps to minimize unplanned downtime and lower capital/running costs.
The G140 is light despite its fully tough features. It weighs only 3.95 pounds (1.79 kg), making it portable and long-lasting.
“As organizations around the world increasingly harness the power of AI within their operations, demand for rugged digital devices capable of running powerful edge AI applications is growing at an exponential rate,” says Charlie Gibbs, Director of Product Solutions, Getac North America. “With the launch of the G140, we are redefining what’s possible at the edge, putting real-time analytical power directly into the hands of field professionals and empowering them to complete mission-critical activities without compromise, no matter how harsh the conditions."
G140 will be available in June 2026.
