Longwood Volunteer Fire Company, Kennett Township, Chester County, Pa., has put in service a 2015 Pierce Arrow XT custom pumper. It is equipped with a 4-door, 6-occupant climate-controlled cab with a flat roof and 911 seats. It is powered by a 500-hp Detroit Diesel DD13 engine and an Allison 4000EVS automatic transmission. To fight fire, it has a Waterous CSU 2,000 gpm single-stage pump, a 750-gallon UPF Poly Tank III water tank, anda 30-gallon Class B foam cell. The pumper is also equipped with a 10,000-watt Harrison Hydra-Gen generator, Pierce Command Zone controls, Hannay electric reel, FRC scene lights, rescue-style body, Hurst e-draulic tools, rear camera, Para-Tech struts, rear LDH inlet, LED MARS lights, LED compartment lighting, Kussmaul auto-eject, slide out tool trays, saws, fans, tarps, forcible entry tools, rope, Roto-Ray, twin front brow lights, LED warning lights, and a Federal Q2B mechanical siren. It was sold through Glick Fire Equipment, Smoketown, Pa. The salesman was Curt Woerth.
