The Calgary Fire Department in Alberta, Canada, has taken delivery of an enclosed CAFS pumper built by Smeal on a Spartan cab and chassis. It is powered by a Cummins ISX31 500 hp engine and an Allison 4000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a Waterous CMUC20C 2,000-gpm pump, a 550-gallon UPF tank, and an Eclipse CAF System with Advantus 3 single-foam system, single flush system with off-board pick up and a 30 Imperial gallon Class A foam tank. Other features include R.O.M. roll-up doors, an Akron Master Electric 3440 deck gun and an Akron Saber 1,250-gpm monitor. It also has a Smeal Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) with a 9,000-watt generator and a Command Light traffic flow board.
