Rising City, NE, Puts Engine 1 in Service

Rising City Rural Fire Protection District No. 3 has taken delivery of a pumper/tanker built by Toyne.

The members of the Rising City Rural Fire Protection District No. 3 have taken delivery of a pumper/tanker built by Toyne Fire Apparatus. It's built on a Freightliner SD108 cab and chassis, powered by a Cummins ISL 400-hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a Waterous CXSPA 1,250 PTO pump and a UPF 2,000-gallon tank. It's also equipped with a Harrison 8,000-watt generator, a Fire Research pressure governor, Fire Research Telescoping lights, a TFT monitor, and an LED tank gauge made by Innovative Controls.
