After Two Years of Research, Lafayette, Ind., Has a New Aerial

The Lafayette Fire Department has taken delivery of a new 100-foot aerial platform to replace the city's 1995 103-foot aerial. The ladder will be run out of Station 3 in the city's 5 Points District.

The new aerial will be first out on all structure fires, automatic alarms and technical rescue calls.

Ladder 3's purchase was the culmination of a two-year project that started with a needs analysis and many hours of committee meetings, followed by several trips to the manufacturing facilities The ladder was a 2 yr. project starting with a needs analysis, many hours of committee meetings followed up by several trips to the manufacturing facilities.
