Red White & Blue Fire Protection District, Breckenridge, CO, has taken delivery of a Type 6 wildland apparatus built by SVI Trucks. The apparatus is built on a Ford F-550 cab and chassis powered by a 6.7-liter Powerstroke diesel engine and a Torque Shift 6-speed automatic transmission. To fight fire, it has a Waterous G2015 pump, powered by a Vanguard 18-hp V Twin engine, and a 300-gallon water tank with a 10-gallon foam cell and a Scotty foam system. Other features include a Warn winch mounted in the bumper, Whelen warning and scene lights.
