Rescue 84 has been delivered to the members of the Queen Anne-Hillsboro, Md., Volunteer Fire Company. It was built by Sutphen as a custom rescue pumper with fire suppression capabilities. Built on an extreme duty cab and chassis, it's powered by a Cummins ISL 450 hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. It features a 73-inch cab with a 15-inch half-raised roof with exterior compartments. To suppress fire, it has a Hale 1,000-gpm pump with a UPF 500-gallon water tank with a 30-gallon foam cell. It also has a Williams ATP 500V foam system. Other features include an extruded aluminum rescue body, R.O.M. roll-up doors, enclosed ladder chute below the hosebed, and an Alco-Lite pumper ladder complement. Other equipment includes a Safety Vision rear view camera system, Harrison 20,000-watt hydraulic generator, and a four-bottle cascade system.
