Toms River, NJ, Volunteer Fire Company #2, Fire District #1, in Ocean County, has taken delivery of a Pierce Arrow XT heavy rescue it is built on a Pierce Arrow XT two-door, climate controlled cab powered by a Detroit Diesel DD13 engine and an Allison 4000EVS transmission. It is equipped with a walk-in, climate controlled crew body with seating for six, an Onan 35,000-watt generator, two Will-Burt Nightscan light towers, Resolve Specialty Products two-bottle fill station with four bottle, 6,000 psi air cascade system, Paratech struts, Warn 6,000-pounds cable winch, Amkus extrication tools, Whelen scene lights, Hannay reels and a Federal Signal mechanical siren.
