The San Jose, CA, Fire Department's Urban Search and Rescue division has taken delivery of a heavy, non-walk-in rescue built by Pierce Mfg.

The San Jose, CA, Fire Department's Urban Search and Rescue division has taken delivery of a heavy, non-walk-in rescue built by Pierce Mfg. It is built on a Pierce Velocity cab and chassis, powered by a Cummins X15 600-hp engine and an Allison transmission. It is equipped with a Harrison Hydra Gen 20,000-watt generator, a Pierce Command Zone control system, a Will-Burt NightScan light tower, a Safety Vision camera system, a David Clark intercom system, Kussmaul battery conditioner, Whelen warning lights, a Federal Signal Q2B siren, Warn winch, and a Girard electric awning.
