Belvidere, Ill., Rolls With New Pumper/Tanker

Firefighters with the Boone County Fire District No. 2 in Belvidere, Ill., have taken delivery of a Toyne pumper tanker built on a Spartan Gladiator cab and chassis.

Firefighters with the Boone County Fire District No. 2 in Belvidere, Ill., have taken delivery of a Toyne pumper tanker built on a Spartan Gladiator cab and chassis. It is powered by a Cummins 500-hp engine and an Allison 4000EVS transmission.

To fight fire, it has a Hale QMAX 1,500-gpm single-stage pump with a UPF 3,000-gallon tank and a 30-gallon foam cell. It also has a Hale FoamLogix 2.1A Class A foam System.

Other equipment includes a 10,000-watt Onan generator, a Will-Burt NightScan light tower and Code 3 LED emergency warning lights.
