Triangle VFD, Bayboro, NC, Puts Commercial Pumper/Tanker in Service

Firefighters with the Triangle Volunteer Fire Department, Bayboro, NC, have taken delivery of a Midwest Fire side-control, tanker-pumper, built on a Freightliner M2 106 cab and chassis.

Firefighters with the Triangle Volunteer Fire Department, Bayboro, NC, have taken delivery of a Midwest Fire side-control, tanker-pumper, built on a Freightliner M2 106 cab and chassis. The apparatus is powered by a Cummins L9 350 hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a 2,000-gallon UPF Poly Tank, a Hale MBP 1,000-gpm PTO pump, and three stainless steel Newton 10-inch square dump valves. It is also equipped with R.O.M. roll-up doors, a Kussmaul air and battery conditioner system, and Whelen scene and warning lights.
