The Madbury, NH, Volunteer Fire Department, put a 2018 Marion pumper built on a Spartan Metro Star cab and chassis in service. It is a four-door apparatus with seating for six occupants, a raised roof, full-height rear doors and Bostrom Firefighter seats. It is powered by a 450-hp Cummins L9 engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. To fight fire it has a Hale Qmax150-23 single-stage pump, a Trident air primer, FoamPro 1600 foam system, a 1,000-gallon UPF Poly Tank III with a 20-gallon Class A foam cell, and a Class 1 TPG control. It's also equipped with a Kussmaul auto-eject battery conditioner, LED compartment lights, Hannay electric reel and a Federal Q2B siren.
