Engine 13 Delivered to Phoenix Fire Department

Feb. 8, 2019

Phoenix Fire Department has taken delivery of its first Pierce Velocity pumper with the delivery of Engine 13. Previously, the city used Pierce Quantum cabs and chassis for its engines. It currently has five aerial towers built on Velocity cabs and chassis. Engine 13 is powered by a Detroit Diesel engine and an Allison transmission. It has a 1,500-gpm pump and a 500-gallon water tank with a 40-gallon foam cell. It also has seating for six with the SCBAs stored in the body of the rig and there are no discharges or intakes on the engineer's side of the pump panel.
