Howard County, MD, Fire & Rescue has taken delivery of a 2019 KME Severe Service, clean concept pumper.

Howard County, MD, Fire & Rescue has taken delivery of a 2019 KME Severe Service, clean concept pumper with 100-inch climate-controlled cab, raised-roof, and full-height rear doors. It is powered by a Cummins 450-hp diesel engine and an Allison 3000EVS automatic transmission. To fight fire, it has a Hale QMAX150-23 single-stage pump, 500-gallon poly water tank, a Trident air prime system, a Hypro FoamPro 2001 foam system with 30-gallon foam tank, Kussmaul auto-eject battery conditioner, LED compartment lighting, slide-out hose trays, shelves, tool boards, rescue-style body, AXIS vehicle monitoring system, RollTek safety system, front and side airbag protection, USSC vinyl seating, lock-n-load hosebed cover, side tank ladder storage, full-height split depth compartments, fender storage compartments, Class 1 rear-facing camera, Whelen LED emergency lighting package, front suction an discharge, Federal Q2B mechanical siren, front LED HiViz 72-inch brow light, passenger side roof top compartment.
