Manchara, TX, Fire Rescue has put in service a custom 3,000-gallon tender/pumper built by Sutphen.

Manchara, TX, Fire Rescue has put in service a custom 3,000-gallon tender/pumper built by Sutphen. It is built on a Sutphen Monarch heavy-duty custom cab and chassis with a 62-inch extended cab with a 10-inch raised roof and seating for five occupants. The 35-foot 5-inch long apparatus is powered by a Cummins X12 500-hp engine and an Allison 4000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a Hale CSU 1,500-gpm single-stage pump, a 3,000-gallon water tank with a 20-gallon foam cell and a FoamPro 2001 2.6-gpm foam system. It is also equipped with Amdor roll-up doors, Fire Research Corp camera system, Firetech LED brow light, Whelen warning lights, and a Federal Signal Q2B mechanical siren.
