Kanawha County has introduced a new mobile command center and engine to improve emergency response capabilities, replacing older units from 2001 and 2009.
Kanawha County put a new mobile command center and engine into service to improve emergency response.
The mobile command center replaces a 2001 unit, while the engine replaces a 2009 unit, according to WSAZ.
“If we do have a big event, we’re better prepared for it,” C.W. Sigman, the emergency management director, said.
Sigman said the mobile command center will help agencies work together during emergencies such as floods, and the new engine can help volunteer fire departments when they need it.
