Heather and Steve Jones were used to helping others in the community and now their neighbors are coming to their aid.
The two longtime firefighters are getting help from Bandera County neighbors after their home was gutted by fire.
The Jones' met when Steve was injured at a fire and Heather was assigned to treat him on the ambulance.
Over the last 20 years, they have served with the Bandera Volunteer Fire Department, Bandera County EMS and the Medina Lake Volunteer Fire Department.
