OneDose announced an integration with ImageTrend, a supplier of data analytics and electronic patient care reporting (ePCR) for healthcare, fire, and emergency medical services. By delivering organized, NEMSIS-formatted clinical data from OneDose straight into ImageTrend Elite, the integration lessens the burden of documentation while enhancing the precision and comprehensiveness of the patient care record.

While adhering to stringent documentation and compliance requirements, EMS providers are expected to offer increasingly complicated care. After a call, manually recording medications, treatments and timestamps increases cognitive burden, introduces reporting errors and diverts physicians from patient care. Agencies can record care decisions at the time of care and have them immediately flow into the ePCR without the need for retrospective documentation by integrating OneDose and ImageTrend.

Important clinical data is transferred from OneDose into ImageTrend Elite as structured, NEMSIS-compliant data through the integration. This data includes patient weight, medications administered, dosage, therapeutic interventions, protocol references and event timestamps. Administrators, medical directors and QA/QI teams have a comprehensive, timely clinical record that they can rely on and clinicians no longer have to reenter data that has already been verified in the field.

A more cohesive workflow is the outcome. With the assurance that everything they record in the app will land neatly in ImageTrend, clinicians utilize OneDose to check care and verify protocol adherence in real time. Crews may be confident that the chart will accurately reflect the care they provided because of the one, integrated workflow that eliminates fragmented data points across systems.

"Our mission at ImageTrend is to help agencies turn data into better outcomes, and that starts with making it easier for clinicians to capture high-quality information at the point of care," said Patrick Sheahan, President and CEO of ImageTrend. "Working with partners like OneDose to integrate clinical decision support directly into the EMS data ecosystem reduces friction for providers and strengthens the value of every patient care report."

"This was one of the most requested integrations from our customer base, and we are excited to bring it to market," said Colton Hazlett, CTO and Co-Founder of OneDose. "ImageTrend Elite is a cornerstone ePCR for a large share of EMS agencies, and our shared customers have been clear about what they want: a clean handoff from clinical decision support into their ePCR. With this integration, the protocol guidance, dosing, and documentation a medic does in OneDose flows straight into ImageTrend — no double entry, no fragmented data."

Customers that use both platforms can access the OneDose and ImageTrend connection. Together, the two businesses are advancing interoperability throughout the EMS technology stack, enabling better care delivery, more accurate downstream analytics for medical oversight, QA/QI and regulatory reporting, as well as cleaner documentation.
