An Americanos charter bus crashed Tuesday morning in Atascosa County.
According to law enforcement authorities, multiple injuries were reported in the crash that happened near
Mile Marker 88 off I-37 near the town of Campbellton.
Two people were airlifted to Brooke Army Medical Center and two were airlifted to University Hospital in San Antonio.
Mark Baldon, who came upon the crash about 15 minutes after it happened at 9:45 a.m., told KSAT 12 News that the bus was on its side in the median and that he saw a few people on the ground and that it appeared there were several young people, possibly spring breakers, walking around.
"(The) bus was on its side and it was smoldering," Baldon said.
