HOUSTON --
Six firefighters were shocked while they battled flames at a northeast Houston home on Monday, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Houston firefighters fought the blaze at a home on Firnat Street near Lockwood Drive at about 11:30 a.m.
Ammunition exploded in the attic while crews tried to extinguish the fire. Crews backed out of the home until they could get the flames under control.
Officials said wires melted together and shocked six of the firefighters. They were treated at the scene and underwent heart tests. No one was taken to a hospital.
The homeowner got out of the house after he smelled smoke.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
