A three-alarm fired claimed two lives in Wilkinsburg on Wednesday afternoon.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner identified the victims as Leona Price, 64, and Ronald Winton, 61.

It happened on Wallace Avenue and Wood Street.

Police said two victims were unaccounted for but they had to control the flames before entering the building to search for them.

On Thursday, the medical examiner said that Price and Winton died of acute carbon monoxide intoxication due to smoke inhalation.

All other tenants were evacuated safely, Channel 4 Action News reporter Shannon Perrine said.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
