Fire Erupts In Houston Apartment Complex

Flames and smoke were coming through a two-story building

A southwest Houston apartment complex turned into a two-alarm fire Thursday afternoon, KPRC Local 2 reported.

Firefighters were sent to the Whittfield Apartments, located in the 12000 block of Whittington at Westmead, at about 4:45 p.m.

Flames and smoke were coming through a two-story building.

A second alarm was pulled about 10 minutes later when the fire spread. It was brought under control a short time later.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
