The blaze went to three alarms.

A three-alarm fire destroyed a southwest Houston dinner theater on Sunday, KPRC Local 2 reported.

The Houston Fire Department responded to the blaze at the Great Caruso Dinner Theater in the 10000 block of Westheimer Road near Briar Park Drive at about 6 a.m.

Officials said the fire went to three alarms because the flames began to spread throughout the ceiling and into the strip center the theater was in.

A firefighter suffered heat exhaustion while battling the blaze, officials said. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and later released.

The dinner theater was destroyed, officials said.

Arson investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
