California Man Dies In Suspicious House Fire

Victor Kresse was pronounced dead at Kern Medical Center shortly after his house caught fire that broke out before 10 a.m.

A man pulled from his burning house Monday morning is dead, and the B.P.D says they are not yet sure how it happened.

B.P.D's robbery/homicide team was on scene and late Monday afternoon, they are calling the death suspicious, but they wouldn't say why.

Kern County Coroner Jim Maloof said there is a possible wound on Kresse's body.

Firefighters pulled Kresse from his home an performed CPR for about ten minutes.

The Coroner says he hopes to have an autopsy performed Tuesday.
