New York Fire, Emergency Crews Kept Busy

Shortly before noon, emergency crews were dispatched to rescue a state Department of Transportation worker who became stuck about 40 feet up in the basket of a hydraulic lift after a malfunction occurred and crews also responded to an overturned vehicle
WEST WINDSOR - A fire at Mercer County Community College, the rescue of a worker stranded dozens of feet up in a faulty hydraulic lift and an an overturned vehicle kept township emergency crews busy yesterday.

The fire broke out shortly before 4 a.m. in the student center on Old Trenton Road when an apparent electrical malfunction occurred in a water cooler, police said.
