Pennsylvania Volunteer Fireman Is Charged With Setting Brush Fire

A Schuylkill County fireman has been charged with arson for allegedly setting a fire and then responding to put the fire out.
(New Ringgold-AP) -- A Schuylkill County fireman has been charged with arson for allegedly setting a fire and then responding to put the fire out.

State police say 19-year-old Brett Neifert of New Ringgold set the brush fire along Mill Mountain Road in East Brunswick Township just before eight o'clock in the evening of June 16th.

Police say Neifert was a member of the New Ringgold Fire Company and responded with the company to put out that blaze.

If convicted, Neifert could face more than 300 dollars in fines and 90 days in jail.
