In preparation for the reopening of the Statue of Liberty, federal authorities are holding a disaster drill on Ellis Island that will help them learn how to put out fires and give first aid under disaster conditions

To prepare for the reopening of the Statue of Liberty this summer, federal authorities are holding a disaster drill on Ellis Island Monday.

The exercise is similar to other exercises held in the city, like one at Shea Stadium.
