FDSOA Makes Changes to Leadership

  • The Fire Department Safety Officers Association (FDSOA) has appointed Eric Valliere as CEO and Lance Vinson as chairman.

Guadalajara International Airport Orders ARFF Vehicle from Oshkosh Airport Products

  • The Guadalajara International Airport (GDL) placed an order for a Striker 6x6 Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) vehicle from Oshkosh Airport Products. 

Firefighter Simulator: Ignite New DLC Coming

  • New missions for Firefighting Simulator: Ignite will soon be available after the recently published free "Alarm Mode Update." The "Parker's Story DLC" will be available on Dec. 11. The new missions that place players in the position of crew members are highlighted in the announcement trailer.

Vision 20/20 Sets CRR Week Date

  • CRR Week 2026 runs from Jan. 19-25, aligning with Martin Luther King Jr.'s National Day of Service to promote community safety.

Twiceme Technology Releases Firefighter Helmets

  • Twiceme Technology partnered with SCHUBERTH to introduce the first firefighter helmets featuring integrated digital safety technology, enhancing safety management and compliance tracking in extreme conditions.

RedFlash Group Mourns Passing of Founding Partner

  • RedFlash Group co-founder Jacob Knight passed away unexpectedly. Knight led RedFlash Group to become a leader in public safety marketing and communications.

IPSDI Releases Updated Exposure Tracker

  • Firefighters can now easily track exposures on the go with the new IPSDI Exposure Tracker, featuring a modern design, seamless updates, and integration options for departments with IPSDI Analytics subscriptions.

Erie, PA, to Host 2026 Firefighter Challenge U.S. National Championship

  • The city of Erie, PA, has been selected to host the 2026 United States National Firefighter Challenge Championship, presented by Snap-tite Hose. The championship will take place Sept. 23–26.

Nominations Open for the NVFC’s 2026 National Fire Service Achievement Awards

  • The National Volunteer Fire Council is accepting nominations for the William J. Darley Lifetime Achievement Award, Chief James P. Seavey Sr. Health and Wellness Leadership Award, Junior Firefighter of the Year Award, and Junior Firefighter Program of the Year Award. Recognize the contributions of outstanding fire service volunteers by submitting your nominations by Jan. 16.
