LEXINGTON, N.C. -- A former volunteer firefighter was arrested and charged in connection with a break-in at his former station, Davidson County deputies said Monday. Deputies said they began their investigation Aug. 4 at the West Lexington Fire Department after the break-in was reported. Anthony James Strickland, 23, of Lexington, was later charged with breaking and entering and larceny. He was being held on a $25,000 bond. Deputies didn't say when Strickland worked at the station.
