Fayette County Fire Department Capt. Julian “Skill” Greaves Wilson, Jr., 59, passed away on Jan. 23 after a battle with COVID-19.

On Dec. 24, Geaves Wilson responded to an EMS call involving a patient with a known case of COVID-19.

He subsequently contracted the virus and passed according to a press release from the U.S. Fire Administration.

Greaves Wilson was a member of the fire service for 33 years.
