A 91-year-old woman died of smoke inhalation from a fire that quickly spread through a six-story apartment building, seriously injuring three residents.

A 91-year-old woman was killed by a raging fire that tore through her Bronx apartment building early Wednesday, injuring 11 others, officials said.

The blaze erupted about 4:40 a.m. inside a second-floor apartment in the six-story building on Park Ave. near E. 161st St. in Concord Village, officials said. Ten tenants and a firefighter were hurt in the fire but survived.

The fire quickly spread to the building’s upper floors. Video of the blaze shared on the Citizen app shows bright orange flames shooting from the roof as firefighters tried to douse the blaze.

The 91-year-old woman, an 80-year-old man and a 54-year-old man were all rushed to Lincoln Hospital, where the woman died of smoke inhalation. The two men were in critical but stable condition.

Another resident suffered serious injuries and seven tenants suffered minor injuries before the fire was extinguished by 6:30 a.m., officials said. A firefighter who fought the blaze suffered a minor injury. All were taken to Lincoln Hospital.

The fire left 16 tenants homeless, officials said. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
