Fire Consumes Chicken Brooder in DE

Firefighters battled a fire in a massive chicken brooder that threatened nearby structures in Millsboro Tuesday morning.

The fire, on the 30000 block of Conaway Road, was reported around 8:00 a.m. and the structure was well involved when crews arrived.

According to WMDT 47, the main structure was being used for storage. It was consumed by the fire.

Firefighters from multiple fire departments, including Dagsboro, Georgetown, Gumboro and Laurel responded to assist with battling the blaze. 

Damage was estimated at $150,000.
