Fire Damages ID Station, Destroys Apparatus

A firefighter was hospitalized after fire destroyed several apparatus and caused heavy damage to the Firth Fire Station Monday morning.

A fire that broke out early Monday morning caused heavy damaged to the Firth Fire Station and destroy multiple fire trucks.

The fire started around 9:00 a.m., Monday morning requiring assistance from the Shelley-Firth Fire District and surrounding fire departments.

According to East Idaho News, firefighters were able to pull a tanker that suffered smoke and heat damage out of the station to help extinguish the fire.

On firefighter was transported to a local hospital for evaluation after an oxygen tank exploded and struck him. The firefighter was treated and released.
