Jackson firefighters battled a massive blaze that tore through an apartment building under construction located across the street from Jackson Fire Station 55.
Early Tuesday Jackson police responded to the Paragon Apartments on Larson Road after a caller reported flames from a building on the corner, Jersey Shore Online reported.
Fire crews arrived to heavy fire from a three story building under construction with limited access. Firefighter from Jackson stations 54, 55, 56 and 57 set up defensive operations due to the advanced fire conditions.
Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control within 45 minutes, and investigation is being conducted by Jackson Police Detective Anthony Riso and the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office.
