A pair of Rochester firefighters, who were on their first call having just graduated from the training academy, saved an elderly man from a burning building.
Greg Ryan and Chris Shea had just graduated from the academy two days prior.
Ryan told WROC News 8 that they were "sitting around talking about hypothetical spots we could be put in and about two hours later a call came in for a working house fire."
"Of course you feel a little anxious on the way there," Shea told News 8, "but once we got here, it was time to go to work."
Both men our the sons of firefighters with Ryan being a third-generation firefighter.
