Detroit Children Hurt when House Next Door Explodes

Detroit Fire Chief James Harris said the three children suffered minor injuries in the blast.

Three children were injured Tuesday afternoon when the house next door exploded.

Detroit Fire Chief James Harris said crews responded to the explosion about 3 p.m. No information about whether there was anyone in the house that was leveled, WXYZ reported. 

Harris said the three injured children were in the house next door that sustained significant damage.

An aerial shot showed firefighters going through debris and trying to extinguish fires. 

Harris said crews will likely be on the scene for several hours.
