An early morning fire in a large building in downtown Gettysburg left one person dead.
Gettysburg Fire Chief Ken Kime said the old three-story structure had been converted into apartments.
It took firefighters about 45 minutes to bring the fire under control. Crews remained at the scene late Tuesday, WHTM reported.
The coroner and fire marshals are conducting investigations.
Nine residents were displaced.
