One firefighter was injured while battling a barn fire in Kinderhook on March 3.
Columbia 911 dispatched the Kinderhook and Valatie Fire Departments for a reported barn fire on Old Post Road in the Kinderhook Fire Protection District.
Additional mutual aid was called from Chatham, Niverville, Ghent, Schodack Landing and Greenport, while numerous companies provided station coverage.
Firefighters used hoselines, master streams and an aerial ladder to contain the fire.
One firefighter was injured at the scene and the Columbia County Haz-Mat Team was called because of concerns about fertilizer in the barn.
The County Cause and Origin Team is investigating the cause of the fire.
