WA FFs Rescue Woman from Vault Toilet

A woman had to be rescued by Brinnon and Quilcene firefighters after falling into a vault toilet while attempting to retrieve her cell phone.

Brinnon Fire Department and Quilcene Fire Department firefighters were called to rescue a woman after she became trapped retrieving her cellphone from a vault toilet in an Olympic Peninsula park.

Firefighters were called to the top of Mt. Walker for an initial report of a woman in her forties who fell into a vault toilet, according to a Facebook post by the Brinnon Fire Department.

The woman dropped her cell phone in the toilet and was attempting to retrieve it and fell headfirst into the vault, after close to 15 minutes of trying to get out she called 9-1-1.

Firefighters dropped cribbing down to the woman, having her build up a platform until they could reach her and assist her out.

Firefighters washed her down and provided her with a Tyvek suit, she was uninjured and did not want to be transported.
