Three Pounds of Gunpowder Found in Pa. Garage

Dec. 06--Officials are investigating the discovery of three 16 oz. containers of gunpowder in a garage in East Germantown. The police bomb squad has been called to remove the explosive material. The Fire Department said it was called to the residence on the 5900 block of Devon Place at 12:52 a.m. by an occupant. In the garage, firefighters found the containers in a bag marked "Black Powder Highly Explosive," officials said.

Besides the police, Homeland Security officials also responded to the scene.
