A series of explosions at a Rock Hill house fire left two firefighters injured Monday.
Firefighters were summoned to the home around 4:30 p.m.
The explosion that knocked the firefighters down also collapsed a brick wall at the home, according to HeraldOnline.com.
The firefighters suffered leg injuries and one may have been knocked out by the blast, York Fire Chief Domenic Manera told the newspaper. They were alert and talking with crews who treated them at the scene.
York County Fire Investigator Charles Williamson said the two, who were transported to Piedmont Medical Center, were paid firefighter for the Newport Fire Department.
A resident of the home told the newspaper he heard a "crack" in the garage when the fire was discovered.
"Frankly the scariest thing I have ever seen," said neighbor Mike Rogers, who was the first to call 911 and report the fire.
