N.Y. Firefighters Transported After Exposure at Factory Fire

They were taken to the hospital as a precaution after being exposed to hydrofluoric acid.

More than two dozen Green Island firefighters were transported to hospitals after a fire at an LED light manufacturing company.

None of the 26 were exhibiting exposure symptoms. but they were taken to the hospital as a precaution, Chief Bob Bourgeois told WNYT.

The fire was contained to an exhaust hood inside a building. It will take workers a while to clean up the debris, the chief added.
