One of two Watertown firefighters injured Thursday during hose testing was taken by helicopter to a Syrause trauma center.
The firefighters were conducting hose testing when the injuries occurred at Veterans Memorial Riverwalk, Chief Matt Timerman told WWNYTV.com.
The second firefighter was transported to Samaritan Medical Center.
Late Thursday, Battalion Chief Chris Hayman said the injuries “are not believed to be life threatening.”
Watertown police responded to help investigate the cause of the injuries.
