Moorehead City, N.C. Takes Delivery of New Tanker/Pumper
The Morehead City Fire Department in Morehead City, N.C., has taken delivery of a Midwest Fire All-Poly series 2,000-gallon tanker-pumper built on a Freightliner M2-106 chassis. It has an a 2,000 gallon APR polypropylene tank, a Darley model LSP 1.000-gpm PTO pump, one 2.5-inch direct tank fill, one 4-inch Storz direct tank fill and tank level gauge, two Side and one rear stainless steel Newton 10-inch square electric dump valves with 18-inch telescoping chutes and a stainless steel “Tip-Down” portable tank carrier.
It also has an All-POLY™ Construction body with “Sweep Out” style compartments, including R.O.M. anodized aluminum roll-up doors, door activated (LED) lighting, vents, and floor dry decking, NFPA compliant LED lighted, folding steps and grab rails, a rear view camera, four Whelen scene lights, full width and length hose bed, pre-connected hose crosslays, adjustable 3/4-inch polypropylene dividers and hose covers, NFPA Compliant Whelen LED Warning Light Package and siren/speaker, NFPA Compliant LED DOT lighting, NFPA compliant red and yellow Chevron striping, white reflective striping, complimenting gold leaf striping, and customer lettering.
