The Neshanic, N.J., Volunteer Fire Company has taken delivery of a 2015 Darley mini pumper built on a Ford F-550 4x4 cab and chassis. It has a 1.500-gpm Darley pump 300-gallon water tank and 30-gallon foam tank. Has the ability to flow Class A CAFS from 4 discharges and meets NFPA requirements for a Class 8 pumper, however the department decided to name it Mini-Pumper 48 because of its over-all size. Size limitations in our response area makes this unit first due for all calls.
