Brooklyn Hose Co., Lewistown, Pa., Gets Big Pumper/Tanker

Members of the Brooklyn Hose Company, Lewistown, Pa., have placed Engine 13-1, a pumper/tanker built by E-ONE, in service. The unit is built on a tandem-axle, E-ONE Cyclone II medium cab and chassis with a 12-inch raised Vista roof. It's powered by a Cummins ISX 12 500-hp engine and an Allison 4000EVS transmission. To fight fires, it has a Hale Qmax 1,500 gpm pump and a 2,080 tank. Other features include a 6,000-watt SmartPower hydraulic  generator and internal hard sleeve and portable tank storage.
